Terms And Conditions
We carry out research and gather information to improve Bump, Baby and You, to inform our site content, campaigns or blog posts, and to help companies and other organisations understand parents.
Please see here for our privacy policy which explains what data we store and why. In the majority of cases your contact details will be collected only when you choose to be entered into a prize draw, a survey, or participate in a focus group or product testing. We only collect additional information with your explicit consent and for a specified purpose.
For bloggers & influencers please visit our Creative Partners Terms & Conditions here.
Incentives
Occasionally you may be offered an incentive (e.g. a voucher) to complete a survey or participate in a focus group. If you choose to participate in this, we will use your details for the purpose of providing you with the incentive and we may store your details for accounting purposes for six years.
Prize draws
If you enter a prize draw, we will use your details for the purpose of administering the draw. Once the prize draw has been completed your details will be deleted, usually straight away, but after no more than three months. If you win, your details may be kept for accounting purposes for up to six years.
Surveys
If you choose to take part in a survey, we will keep your contact details only for the purposes of entering you into any relevant prize draw or providing you with the incentive on offer when you took the survey. We will delete the contact details you provide within 6 months.
Any data you provide in surveys will be anonymised (and may be aggregated) so that your information will never be identifiable. Your anonymised responses may be shared with organisations or brands who are sponsoring the survey. Any exceptions to this will only occur where you provide your explicit consent.
Focus groups
If you choose to take part in a focus group, you will be asked to give your explicit consent for your information to be used for purposes connected with that focus group. This could include, for example, your name, address, email address and telephone number, and any answers to questions that are necessary to determine if you are able to take part (for example, how many children you have).
We may use your contact details to get in touch with you to discuss progress with the focus group. You may withdraw from a focus group at any time by informing us in an email (hello@bumpbabyandyou.com), at which point any information held will be deleted within 7 days. Your responses to a focus group will be anonymised and/or aggregated and you will not be personally identifiable from reports written on the basis of responses that you provide. Any personal information provided will be retained for the duration of the focus group. Information will be deleted within six months of the conclusion of the focus group.
Product testing
If you choose to take part in product testing, you will be asked to give your explicit consent for your information to be used for purposes connected with that product test. This could include, for example, your name, address, email address and telephone number, and any answers to questions that are necessary to determine if you are able to take part (for example, how many children you have). We may share anonymised and aggregated data you have provided so that the product test sponsor can understand how useful any feedback will be. We will use your email or mail address so that you can be sent the product or service. Alternatively, we may pass on these details to the partner organisation so they can send you the sample directly.
We may use your contact details to get in touch with you to discuss progress with the product test. You may withdraw from a product test at any time by informing us in an email (hello@bumpbabyandyou.com), at which point any information held will be deleted within 7 days. As part of the product test you will usually be asked to complete a survey on the product and may be entered into a prize draw or receive an incentive. This separate information is covered under the ‘survey’ and ‘prize draw’ sections above.
